3 Review Deponent: Definition: Verbs that have a Mid-Pass form but an active meaning. e.g. ἔρχομαι - I come, go You will know them by vocab. If the lexical form (the one in your vocab list) is passive, it’s a deponent verb. Parse deponent verbs as “deponent” in the voice category.

Time = Past Aspect (kind of action) = Continuous Present Tense, Passive Voice: “Bill is hit by the ball.” Simple Past Tense, Passive Voice: ”Bill was hit by the ball.” Imperfect Tense, Passive Voice: - “Bill was being hit by the ball.”
