Διαφορές Στο δημοτικό τα ευρωπαϊκά σχολεία έχουν πέντε τάξεις σε αντίθεση με το ελληνικό που έχει έξι. Στο γυμνάσιο έχουν εφτά τάξεις αφού δεν έχουν λύκειο.

Differences There are five classes in the Primary Section of European Schools, in comparison to mainstream schools in Greece where there are six. The Secondary Section of European schools is therefore comprised of seven classes.

Τα παιδιά του δημοτικού και του γυμνασίου στεγάζονται στον ίδιο χώρο και έχουνε πολύ καλές σχέσεις μεταξύ τους.

Primary and Secondary students share the same premises and have formed very good relationships.

Στο γυμνάσιο τα παιδιά δεν γράφουν εξετάσεις αλλά γράφουν B tests και αυτό έχει ως αποτέλεσμα τα μαθήματα να τελειώνουν στης 27 Ιουνίου.

In high school, students don’t have to take final exams, but instead they have to sit B –tests, to pass the class and because of this the school year ends on the 27 th of June.

Πρόγραμμα σπουδών Στο ευρωπαϊκό σχολείο μπορούμε να επιλέξουμε κάποια από τα μαθήματα που κάνουμε, κάτι που δεν έχουμε την ικανότητα να κάνουμε σε ένα γενικό σχολειό. Τα παιδιά ξεκινούν από την πρώτη δημοτικού την πρώτη ξένη γλώσσα και μπορούν να τελειώσουν με τέσσερις ξένες γλώσσες.

Course of Study In European schools, students are given the option of choosing some of the lessons they take, something that is not possible in other schools. Students begin learning a foreign language right from the first class of Primary and are given the opportunity to learn up to three more in Secondary, and therefore having the prospect of knowing four foreign languages by the time they graduate.

Διαφορές μαθημάτων του ευρωπαϊκού από του γενικού Στο ευρωπαϊκό σχολείο έχουμε κάποια μαθήματα τα όποια δεν έχουν τα υπόλοιπα σχολεία όπως: Ηθική, ανθρωπιστικές επιστήμες, οικονομικά λατινικά, γεωγραφία, ισπανικά,ιταλικά. Τα ελληνικά σχολεία έχουν κάποια μαθήματα τα όποια δεν έχουν τα ευρωπαϊκά σχολεία όπως: Οικιακή οικονομία, ιστορία, τεχνολογία, έκθεση, κοινωνική και πολιτική αγωγή.

Differences between European Schools and Mainstream schools in Greece There are some subjects taught in European Schools, which aren’t taught in other schools, for example: Ethics, Integrated and Human Sciences, Economics, Geography, Spanish, Italian and European hours. On the other hand, other schools offer some lessons that European Schools don’t, for example: Home Economics, History, Technology, Composition writing, Social and Political studies.

Τα παιδιά από το γενικό λύκειο δίνουν πανελλήνιες για να περάσουν στο πανεπιστήμιο, ενώ με το ευρωπαϊκό σύστημα δίνουν ένα διαφορετικό απολυτήριο που λέγεται μπακαλορεά.

Students attending high schools in Greece, sit the Panhellenic National level Examinations at the end of their final year in order to be able to attend a Greek university. On the other hand, students of European schools take the European Baccalaureate examinations at the end of their final year at school.
