The Grand Coalition for digital job creation: Closing the gap by 2020 An EU wide multi-stakeholder partnership helping to address mismatches and fill vacancies of ICT practitioners to boost employment (Draft 21 January 2013) This document outlines the terms of reference for the Grand Coalition (GC) by drawing on expert input from key industry (ICT and non ICT) stakeholders and relevant Commission services. It helps identify the issues at stake and presents what needs to be done and by whom in order to fulfil the mission of the GC – bringing together supply and demand in the ICT world to realise the largely under-tapped employment creation potential of this technology.

PLEDGES for the Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs European e-Competence Framework (e-CF) 2.0 The European e-Competence Framework (e-CF) is a reference framework of 36 ICT competences that can be used and understood by ICT demand and supply companies, ICT practitioners, managers and HR departments, the public sector, educational and social partners. The European e-Competence Framework version 2.0 published in 2010 builds upon the e-CF version 1.0, and it takes into account the first e-CF application experience and feedback from ICT stakeholders across Europe.

PLEDGES for the Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs ΣΥΜΠΕΡΑΣΜΑΤΑ Ύπαρξη «κενού» μεταξύ προσφοράς και ζήτησης στην αγορά εργασίας των ΤΠΕ. Ανάπτυξη δράσεων σε πανευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο για την κάλυψη του προαναφερόμενου κενού στα οποία η πρακτική άσκηση των φοιτητών υπό διάφορες μορφές θα έχει καθοριστικό ρόλο. Η εξάμηνη πρακτική άσκηση σε φορείς σχετιζόμενους άμεσα ή έμμεσα με ΤΠΕ, σε συνδιασμό με τις γνώσεις και δεξιότητες κατά την διάρκεια των επτά εξαμήνων σπουδών δημιουργούν ένα ίσχυρό «e-competence διαβατήριο» για την αγορά εργασίας.
