Αυτήν την ημέρα πηγαίνουμε στην εκκλησία καλοντυμένοι και με ένα καλάθι το οποίο έχει μέσα καπνιστό κρέας, αυγά, ψωμί, αλάτι και κρασί. Μετά ψέλνει ο παπάς και αγιάζει τα τρόφιμα. 14  Traditions in Australia are very different because people who live there, are from different countries and believe in different religions: orthodox, catholic, Muslim, Boudist, so they decided to celebrate Easter the same day.  Τα έθιμα στην Αυστραλία είναι πάρα πολύ διαφορετικά γιατί οι άνθρωποι που ζουν εκεί ανήκουν σε διαφορετικές πολιτισμικές ομάδες.  Οι άνθρωποι στην Αυστραλία πιστεύουν σε διαφορετικές θρησκείες, όπως οι ορθόδοξοι, οι καθολικοί, οι μουσουλμάνοι, οι βουδιστές και άλλοι πολλοί. Έτσι το Πάσχα γιορτάζεται διαφορετικά. Το κράτος έχει ορίσει το Πάσχα να γιορτάζεται την ίδια μέρα.

15  On Thursday they celebrate in schools and someone is dressing up as a rabbit and gives to children chocolate eggs. They also play Easter games.  Τη Μεγάλη Πέμπτη στα σχολεία γίνεται γιορτή και κάποιος ντύνεται λαγουδάκι και δίνει μεγάλα σοκολατένια αβγά.  Επίσης παίζουν και πασχαλινά παιχνίδια (π.χ. το κυνήγι των αβγών.)

16  On Friday and 2 nd Easter day they don’t work and the whole week they have a celebration called “Easter Show”.  Τη Μεγάλη Παρασκευή, όπως και την δεύτερη μέρα του Πάσχα, των καθολικών, είναι αργία για όλη την Αυστραλία. Όλη την εβδομάδα διοργανώνεται μία πασχαλινή γιορτή (Easter show).

20  On Saturday we go to church, where at 12 o’clock at night we celebrate the resurrection of Christ.

21  On Sunday we impale lamb or goat and we eat with all our friends, relatives and our families in Easter table.  We also eat a traditional soup, called magiritsa.
