Did you notice the similarity with the English word “ Bible ”?
The word “ bible ” come from the Greek word that means “ book ”.

Say “the book is not there. The book is here.”
Το βιβλίο δεν είναι εκεί. Το βιβλίο είναι εδώ.

Point at a pen and say “ the pen is here ”.

Now, hide the pen and say “no, the pen is not here”.

Point again at the pen and say “the pen is here”.

The Greek word for “ bag ” is the same for “ purse ” and “ briefcase ”.

Say “ the bag ”.
