 It was first discovered in the 19 th. It appeared 230 million years ago. Dinosaurs were vertebrate animals.

 It was a true toad and it lived in tropical forests.

C ARETTA -C ARETTA Caretta - Caretta lives in the Mediterranean Sea in the Atlantic, in the Indian and in the Pacific Ocean. It eats sea plants and jelly fish. It eats sea plants and jelly fish. It’s a big sea turtle with a shell of keratins red-brown plates and as other sea turtles it breathes with lungs. H καρέτα- καρέτα ζει στη Μεσόγειο,στον Ατλαντικό,στον Ινδικό και στον Ειρηνικό Ωκεανό. Τρώει θαλάσσια φυτά και τσούχτρες. Είναι μια μεγάλη θαλάσσια χελώνα με καβούκι που αποτελείται από κεράτινες πλάκες, καφέ – κόκκινου χρώματος και όπως και τα άλλα είδη θαλάσσιων χελωνών αναπνέει με πνεύμονες.

P ANDA The panda lives in central China. The panda eats bamboo 9-14 kg a day. The panda has a black-and-white coat. The giant panda is in danger by people. Το πάντα ζει στην κεντρική Κίνα. Το πάντα τρώει μπαμπού 9-14 κιλά την μέρα. Το πάντα έχει μαύρο και άσπρο τρίχωμα χαίτη. Το πάντα είναι σε κίνδυνο από τους ανθρώπους.

D OLPHINS Dolphins live in all oceans of the planet except for the Arctic and the Antarctic oceans. Dolphins weigh 200kg to 250kg and eat fish and squids 10kg to 25kg every day. A dolphin is only 1.40 metres long and its colour is grey or black and white. Τα δελφίνια ζούνε στους ωκεανούς όλου του πλανήτη εκτός από τον Αρκτικό και Ανταρκτικό ωκεανό. Τα δελφίνια ζυγίζουν 200κιλά έως 250κιλά και τρώνε ψάρια και καλαμάρια 10κιλά έως 25κιλά κάθε μέρα. Τα δελφίνια είναι 1.40 μέτρα και το χρώμα τους είναι γκρι ή μαύρο και άσπρο.

Polar Bears  The polar bear is a big white bear.  It eats meat.  It weighs 750 kg.  It lives in Arctic.

 Baleen Whales are larger than Blue Whales and have two blowholes. Also called toothless Whales, they have plates attached to baleen hairs in their mouth. Baleen whales eat fish, krill, plants, octopus etc.  Baleen whales= Μπαλενοφάλαινες  Blowholes =φυσητήρες  Plants= φυτά (πλαγκτόν)  Plates= ελάσματα, πιέτες  Toothless =χωρίς δόντια

 The blue whale is the largest animal of the world. It is the most beautiful animal, weighs 180 tons and is 30 meters long. The blue whale is the biggest animal ever. Many dangers threaten the blue whale and put the blue whale in danger.

 Forests are destroyed by fire, acid rain, lumber, climate change, droughts, flooding, extensive building development and atmospheric pollution.

 Fire is caused by people, because of too much drought and it is one of the most serious threats for the forests.

 Uncontrolled lumbering destroys forests.

 Extensive building development threatens forests.

 Flooding destroys trees.

 Droughts can cause fire.

 Acid rain includes acid and destroys anything it touches.

 When climate changes and it’s too hot the trees can be on fire.

 We should be more careful and environmentally friendly. We shouldn’t light fires in the forests. We should plant trees and we must take care of our environment because it is our home.
