Δημογραφικά στοιχεία δείγματος ΕΙΣΑΓΩΓΗ-ΣΚΟΠΟΣ Οι νέοι ιατροί καλούνται να αντιμετωπίσουν εξαντλητικά ωράρια, έλλειψη ύπνου, αυξημένες ευθύνες, σκληρό ανταγωνισμό και τις απαιτήσεις της προσωπικής και κοινωνικής τους ζωής. Η πίεση που τους ασκείται οδηγεί σε σωματική και ψυχική καταπόνηση. Στην Ελλάδα, η ιατρική ειδίκευση αποτελεί αποκλειστική και πλήρη απασχόληση, ωστόσο δεν έχει καθοριστεί μέχρι σήμερα επιστημονικά πόσο ικανοποιημένοι αισθάνονται οι Έλληνες ειδικευόμενοι ιατροί μέσα στο εργασιακό τους περιβάλλον. Αυτός ακριβώς είναι ο σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας. ΥΛΙΚΟ ΚΑΙ ΜΕΘΟΔΟΣ Ένα ερωτηματολόγιο 36 ερωτήσεων, βασισμένο στην κλίμακα εργασιακής ικανοποίησης Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) που ανέπτυξε ο Paul E. Spector το 1985 στις ΗΠΑ δημιουργήθηκε και τέθηκε προς συμπλήρωση στο Διαδίκτυο. Εννέα παράμετροι μελετήθηκαν: Αμοιβές, Εξέλιξη, Επίβλεψη, Πρόσθετες Παροχές, Ενδεχόμενες Ανταμοιβές, Εργασιακή Διαδικασία, Συνεργάτες, Φύση Εργασίας και Επικοινωνία.   ΑΠΟΤΕΛΕΣΜΑΤΑ Ι 45 νέοι ιατροί απάντησαν συνολικά, 20 (44%) ήταν άνδρες και 25 (55%) γυναίκες, ηλικίας ετών. Οι Έλληνες νέοι ιατροί εμφανίζονται δυσαρεστημένοι με το εργασιακό περιβάλλον τους, με JSS Score=104,4. Περισσότερο οι γυναίκες (98,2) από τους άνδρες (112,2). Συγκρίνοντας τα αποτελέσματα με αντίστοιχα των ΗΠΑ, οι Έλληνες θεωρούν πως εργάζονται σε πολύ χειρότερο περιβάλλον απ'ότι οι Αμερικανοί συνάδελφοί τους (Συνολικό score 135,8 σε σχέση με το 104,4 στην Ελλάδα). ΣΥΜΠΕΡΑΣΜΑΤΑ Τα σοβαρά προβλήματα που αντιμετωπίζουν οι νέοι Έλληνες ιατροί σήμερα στην Ελλάδα περιγράφονται στην παρούσα έρευνα με ιδιαίτερα μελανά χρώματα: Η γραφειοκρατία αποτελεί σημαντικό πρόβλημα που οδηγεί σε λιγότερο αποτελεσματική εργασία Οι προϊστάμενοι ιατροί συχνά εμφανίζονται αναποτελεσματικοί Απαιτούνται μεγαλύτερες επενδύσεις κονδυλίων από το κράτος Πρέπει να υπάρξει ορθότερη διαχείριση των υπαρχόντων κονδυλίων για την εξασφάλιση δικαιότερων αποδοχών Διάγραμμα 5.
