Never." - Richard Feynman Σκοπός του προγράμματος είναι η μεταπτυχιακή ειδίκευση εκπαιδευτικών της Β/βάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης στις βασικές επιστημονικές κατευθύνσεις των Φυσικών Επιστημών. Προσφέρονται οι απαραίτητες επιστημονικές γνώσεις καθώς και τεχνολογικές και μεθοδολογικές δεξιότητες ώστε ο απόφοιτος του Π.Σ: να έχει σφαιρική αντίληψη των βασικών επιστημονικών θεωριών της Φυσικής, της Χημείας και της Βιολογίας, να αντιλαμβάνεται και να μπορεί να αναδείξει μέσα από την εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία, την επιστημονική ουσία των Κλασικών και Σύγχρονων θεωριών των Φυσικών Επιστημών καθώς και το ρόλο τους στην ενοποιημένη επιστημονική αντίληψη για τον κόσμο μας, να έχει τις προαπαιτούμενες δεξιότητες και την επιστημονική επάρκεια να χρησιμοποιεί την πειραματική διαδικασία ως κριτή της επιστημονικής αλήθειας θεωριών και υποθέσεων, να έχει τη μεθοδολογική κατάρτιση για να σχεδιάζει και εκτελεί εκπαιδευτικές ή/και εκλαϊκευτικές δράσεις στο περιβάλλον του Σχολείου της Β/θμιας Εκπαίδευσης, της ευρύτερης σχολικής κοινότητας καθώς και της τοπικής κοινωνίας και να έχει την απαραίτητη επάρκεια αναφορικά με τη χρήση υπολογιστικών τεχνικών και τεχνολογιών λογισμικού προκειμένου να σχεδιάζει και να κατασκευάζει ηλεκτρονικό εποπτικό υλικό. …ο εκπαιδευτικός αποκόπτεται της επιστήμης που σπούδασε και δεν έχει την (πρακτική) δυνατότητα να την ασκήσει (υπό την έννοια που ο γιατρός ασκεί την ιατρική και ο δικηγόρος την νομική επιστήμη) την επιστήμη του… Ας φανταστούμε ότι το Ελληνικό Λύκειο του 21 ου αιώνα έχει την δυνατότητα να συζητήσει με τους μαθητές του, την σχολική και την τοπική κοινότητα, το φετινό (και κάθε άλλο) βραβείο Νόμπελ Φυσικής, αναδεικνύοντας την εννοιολογική ενότητα (σε θεωρητικές αρχές, μεθοδολογία και τεχνολογικά εργαλεία) της Νέας Γνώσης με το περιεχόμενο του αναλυτικού προγράμματος και επισημαίνοντας τη συμβολή του επιτεύγματος στον Επιστημονικό Πολιτισμό και το Κοινωνικό Γίγνεσθαι (Πολιτική – Πολιτισμό).
